All U.S. active-duty servicemembers, National Guard members, and Reservists are eligible for our Preferred Military Rate, which is $250 per credit hour for both undergraduate and master’s-level programs. Military family members, including parents, spouses, legal partners, siblings, and dependents are also eligible for the Preferred Military Rate.

Get the Credit You Deserve

AMU evaluates and applies transfer credit for your military service, training and job experience, previous college credits, JST, CCAF, DSST, ACE-evaluated training, and CLEP exams. We also consider public safety academy training, such as POST, FLETA, BLET, and IFSAC®.

Senior Manager, Military Outreach and the Western States Liaison to National Guard members and Reservists
SGM (Ret), USA

Edward retired from the Army (AGR), having served more than 24 years and attaining the rank of Sergeant Major. He is a graduate of the Army Sergeants Major Academy and holds an MA Management from American Military University. He was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He continues to serve his community, holding roles such as mayor of Geronimo, Oklahoma, and currently is an appointed member of the chief of staff of the Army Retired Soldier Council, co-chair of the Fort Sill Retiree Council, and board member of numerous community and veteran organizations.

Mik retired from the United States Air Force in 2004. While in the Air Force, he supplemented his quest for self-improvement by earning a variety of college degrees, including three different CCAF degrees, a bachelor’s in business, and dual master’s degrees. Mik lives in Savannah, Georgia.
