A University That Celebrates Your Commitment

As a military family member, your pride and honor run deep. You serve right alongside your servicemember with every PCS, deployment, and TDY. American Military University (AMU) has educated those who serve since 1991 with portable and accessible learning. We stand ready to support and serve military family members with affordable, flexible online higher education.

We believe military families deserve the opportunity to learn without the burden of debt too. That’s why AMU created the Preferred Military Rate for military members and their families. After the rate is applied, you pay $250/credit hour for undergraduate tuition and $250/credit hour for master's-level tuition.

Besides the Preferred Military Rate, we also offer a variety of other support services for military family members, including our Career Center which provides virtual career fairs and assistance with resumes. Stay flexible and resilient and let us help you fulfill your goals by enrolling at a university that supports your grit and greatness.

AMU is part of American Public University System (APUS) which is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org), an institutional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
