Earn Your Associate of Science in Cybersecurity Online

Develop the foundational knowledge and skills essential for protecting private data in the digital age with an Associate of Science in Cybersecurity from American Military University’s (AMU). Broaden your understanding of fundamental theories, concepts, and practices for defending corporate and government entities of all sizes against cyberattacks.

Through the AS in Cybersecurity, you will examine data security issues at length, while learning how to apply your knowledge of networking concepts, cryptography, OS hardening, and red and blue team security to help prevent data breaches, identity theft, and other forms of cyberattacks.

Your coursework will also cover the legal and ethical implications of technology implementations, while simultaneously exploring the creation and evolution of laws pertaining to cybercrimes and the prosecution of cyberintruders. Upon graduation, you will be able to demonstrate proficiency in core cybersecurity and IT administrative skills.

This program also serves as a foundation for further study in our bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Cybersecurity.

AMU’s programs are online with 24/7 access and no set login times. At AMU, there are no entrance exams and classes start every month, so you can begin quickly and control your schedule. Ask us about transfer credit opportunities to help you save time and money in completing your degree.
